An On-Grid System or Grid Tied System is one in which the Solar Energy Generating plant is connected to the Grid through a Net Meter. Electricity generated through the system is Transmitted to the Grid. Units Generated in the Grid are accumulated in the electricity bill of the consumer. Consumer does not need to pay for the units which are generated through their deployed Solar plant. Consumer is charged based on the above mechanism in each billing cycle. If there are any surplus units they are carry forwarded to the next billing cycle. This process carries on for the entire Financial year.
